Scouting the Hawks
After spending the first two weeks away from QU Stadium, the Hawks will be the last team in the MSFL to play their inaugural home game. Quincy comes into week 3 sitting at a record of 1-1, after defeating Fontbonne University and falling to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
The Hawks fell to SMWC by the score of 21-7 in week 2. The lone scoring play came from QB
Taylor Klusmeyer who scored on a 2 yard run. He was also 16 of 27 for 171 yards. On the ground,
Exavior Hinton carried the ball 12 times for 43 yards.
Camden Pye caught the ball nine times for 114 yards.
Scouting the Knights
The Knights come to QU Stadium with a record of 2-0 after defeating Midway University on the road and Fontbonne University at home.
Bellarmine scored all 14 of its points in the 3
rd quarter against the Griffons. They got on the board with a 40 interception return by Tavius Francis. Late in the 3
rd quarter, Joshua Bivens caught a 41 yard pass from Dylan Gough for their second score.
Gough went 10 of 15 for 107 yards. Bivens and Devan Hendricks caught 3 passes each from Gough. On the ground, Brenden Reid carried the ball 17 times for 118 yards.
