Quincy, Ill. – Quincy University Men's and Women's Swimming Coach Bryan Christensen officially announced the schedules for both programs on Monday, May 2, 2022. This will be the inaugural season for the Men's Swimming program, while QU is relaunching the Women's program. Quincy University sponsored a Women's team from 2015 to 2017 for two seasons.
The home meets will be contested in the Health and Fitness Center pool. They will be competing in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
The season will kick off on Homecoming Weekend, September 24
th with the Intersquad Meet. Just a week later, the Hawks will travel to Lewis University for their first conference meet.
On October 14
th, the Hawks will host St. Ambrose University for their home opener. The next day, they will travel to the University of St. Mary's Relay Meet. The schedule continues with a non-conference meet against the University of Southern Indiana on October 22
nd.
As the calendar flips to November, QU will return home for the weekend of November 4
th and 5
th. On the 4
th, they will host the Truman State Bulldogs in the GLVC meet. The next day Division 3 School, Simpson College pays a visit to the Hawks. Two weeks later, the Hawks will wrap up November at the Bulldog Invitational in Kirksville, Missouri.
Quincy will wrap up the 2022 calendar year with a conference meet in St. Louis, Missouri against the University of Missouri – St. Louis Tritons on December 16
th.
To start off 2023, the Hawks will travel to Monmouth College on January 13
th. The next day, they will return home as the Maryville University Saints come to the Gem City. The regular season will wrap up with the William Jewell College Cardinals coming to Quincy on January 23
rd.
The Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships will be conducted on February 8
th through 11
th.
