Saint Charles, Mo. – The Quincy University baseball team drew the Lewis University Flyers in the GLVC Semifinals on Saturday (5/14) afternoon at the Lou Brock Sports Complex and fell by the score of 6-4.

After a quiet first 3 innings, the Lewis offense found their rhythm as they scored six runs on seven hits in the bottom of the 4^th.

It took until the top of the 7^th for the Hawks to get on the board. Gino D'Alessio belted his 8^th home run of the season to left center to cut the lead to 6-2. Sebastian Martinez followed that up with an RBI single through the left side to score Lance Logsdon.

Down the stretch, Quincy had its chances as they would load the bases in the 8^th and 9^th innings. Brock Boynton was hit by a pitch in the top of the 9^th to make it 6-4 Lewis.

Quincy would leave 16 runners on base, compared to two for the Flyers.

The same two teams will meet again at 9:00 AM on Sunday, May 15th for a spot in the GLVC Championship.
