Evansville, Ind.—The Quincy University Baseball team wrapped up their GLVC road series against the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles and lost 6-4 to split the four-game series.
The Hawks got the scoring started in the top of the 1
st as
Brock Boynton doubled to right field to score Lance Logson and
Dayson Croes. USI would tie the game in the bottom half of the inning on back-to-back hits.
Quincy would retake the lead in the top of the 5
th with Croes reaching on an error by the 2
nd baseman, which scored
Kade Burns. In the bottom of the 5
th,
Jay Hammel got a ground ball, but it would be a productive out as the Screaming Eagles tied the game once again at 3-3.
After Southern Indiana loaded the bases in the bottom of the 8

Sam Stephens was called onto pitch. USI would score all 3 of those baserunners on an RBI single and then two sac flies. In the top of the 9
