Quincy, Ill. – The Quincy University Baseball took a weekend out of conference as they hosted the Saginaw Valley State University Cardinals for a four-game series. The Hawks took game 1 of the series by the score of 10-0.

Gino D'Alessio hit a double to right center. The next batter
Lance Logsdon, hit his 9
th home run of the season to make it 2-0 Hawks. The Hawks offense kept the line moving in the 2
nd, as
Luke Napleton hit an RBI single to left center that scored
Joe Roscetti.
Quincy added 2 more runs in the bottom of the 3
rd.
Lance Logsdon hit an RBI double to center to score D'Alessio that made it 4-0 Hawks.
Zach Parks singled up the middle that scored Logsdon.
After a single by Napleton and Croes reaching on an error by the 2
nd baseman,
Nolan Wosman hit a 3-run home run over the left center field wall to make it 8-0 Hawks. In the bottom of the 8
th, Logsdon hit a monster shot over the right field wall for his 2
nd of the day and 10
th of the season to make it 9-0 Hawks.
Sebastian Martinez kept the inning going with a single to center field, then advanced to 2
nd on an error. That would let Wosman come around to score.
Spencer Walker got the start for the Hawks. He improved his record to 7-1. Walker carried a perfect game through 6 innings, but only allowed 5 hits. He struck out 7 Cardinals.
