Quincy, IL - The Quincy University tennis program welcomed Drury University on Friday (Apr. 22). The Hawks lost on both sides as the men's team lost 0-7 and the women's team lost 2-5.

The men's team won one of the three matches of the doubles as Ettore Pavesi and Zach Willing put up a strong outing winning the number two doubles match 6-3. Quincy lost the point after losing two out of three. 

During the singles matches, Samuele Contestabile took his match to three after winning the first set 6-2 but fell in the next two to lose the match. Quincy lost the game not being able to beat a single panthers.

On the other hand, The women's team managed to win a couple points after Laila Leist-Alston and Blanca Salas Cruz teamed up to beat Drury in the doubles game one. The Panthers got game number two of the doubles but Quincy responded quickly as Steffi Lao and Juliana Vidal shared the core to win game number three of the doubles to win the first point for Quincy.

Steffi Lao continued her streak and won the only singles match for the Hawks 6-3 and 7-6 and gave Quincy the second and last point of the day. Quincy lost the game 2-5 to Drury.
