QUINCY-,IL---The Quincy Hawks fell 3-0 to the Lindenwood Lions 25-19, 25-21, and 25-17 on Saturday (March 5) in Pepsi Arena.
It was the second time in three days the Hawks have squared off against Lindenwood, this time at home they fell in three sets.
Quincy was down 23-12 in the first set but scored seven of the next eight points to make it 24-19 before the Lions called a timeout and regrouped to take the opening set.
Quincy took a 12-11 lead in the second set before the Lions scored six of the next seven points to hold at 17-13 lead, and held on to take the frame 25-21.
Lindenwood came out strong in the third set to complete the sweep as they took the final frame 25-17.
Raje Alleyne led QU with eight kills on 20 total attacks after he came in and provided energy off the bench. It was a season-best in kills for the Freshman from Bridgetown, Barbados.
The Hawks will be in action next weekend at the Lindenwood Invitational on Saturday (March 12) and Sunday (March 13) as they begin a four-game non conference stretch in their schedule.
