Lebanon IL - The Quincy University men's volleyball team opened the Lindenwood Invitational against Limestone University Saturday (Mar. 12). The Hawks efforts came up short, winning one set of four, 13-25, 25-18, 15-25, and 21-25.
The Hawks offense was led by Nathan Lawton who recorded 11 kills. Eddie Jakubauskas was next with nine kills in 22 attempts to accumulate a .318 hitting percentage. AJ Goedheer had seven kills, while Roman Deryckère recorded six kills on 11 attempts to end the game with a .364 hitting percentage. 
Quincy's defense on the other hand, was led by Bryce Jones who accumulated 24 assists. Jonas Holzinger was next with 11 assists. The Hawks were not able to keep up after winning the second set 25-18, and lost the game.
The Hawks will be playing Lincoln Memorial University Sunday (Mar. 13) at 2:00 PM for their last game at the Lindenwood Invitational.
