JEFFERSON CITY, TN---The Quincy Hawks picked up a 16-0 win at Carson-Newman on Friday (March 4) afternoon.
QU scored 12 runs in the first two frames and controlled the entire game. The early lead for the Hawks is all they would need after
Spencer Walker improved to 2-0 behind seven scoreless innings of work while he notched six strikeouts compared to zero walks.
Brett Panick and
Carter Endisch (collegiate debut) each worked a scoreless inning to complete the combined shutout for the Hawks. QU stuck out eight batters and only walked two as a staff.
After QU held a 5-0 advantage, Logsdon cleared the bases with a grand slam in the second inning to break the game wide open. The Hawks totaled seven runs on five hits during the top of the second inning. The Hawks added three more runs in the fourth and one more run in the sixth to complete their season-best 16-run offensive effort.

Dayson Croes each had three hits and accounted for 12 of the Hawks 15 hits on the afternoon. Logsdon accounted for nine of the Hawks 16 runs as he went 3-4 with six runs driven in while he also scored three runs as well.
