Quincy, IL—The Hawks hosted the Columbia College Cougars on Wednesday evening (March 2
nd) and extended their win streak to 4 with the score of 14-7.
The Cougars would strike first just 54 seconds into the match on a goal by Cooper Bryant. Quincy answer right back on a goal by 
Jordan Ernst. Then just 40 seconds later, Ernst would strike again to make it 2-1. Columbia College would tie it at 2 goals apiece. With 90 seconds left in the opening quarter, 
Jayme Brain would give the Hawks a one goal lead to end the quarter.
Early in the 2
nd quarter, the Cougars and Hawks would trade goals as 
Blaine Lowrance gave QU the one goal lead back. With just over 2 minutes left in the quarter, 
Nick Woodworth made it 5-3 on the unassisted goal. With the clock winding down, the Cougars got back to within one goal at 5-4.
As the 3
rd quarter began, Columbia College tied the game at 5. The Hawks would go on to score 4 unanswered goals. The goals by 
Preston Willman and 
Blaine Lowrance were scored 30 seconds apart to make it 8-5 Quincy. Ernst would add his 3
rd goal of the match to make it 9-5 Hawks.
Quincy took that 4 goal lead into the 4
th quarter, than 
Jayme Brain would score his 3
rd and 4
th goals of the contest around a Cougar goal. The Hawks would keep adding to their lead and would take the match over Columbia College.
