Orlando, Fla.—The men's and women's tennis teams continued their spring break trip in Florida on Tuesday (3/15).
Men vs Florida Southern College
The men battled tough against #25 Florida Southern College but came up short by the score of 7-0.
In doubles action,
Zach Willing and
Ivan Mimica lost to the 23
rd ranked pair of Valentin Hertweck and Chris Fok Kow by the score of 6-2. Brendan Everhart and Pable Mateos Niela lost 6-2 as well to the team of Oscar Sohl and Erik Nordblom.

Sebastian Gomez came up short in a hard-fought match against Brian Pham and Matteo Feggi.
In Singles action,
Samuele Contestabile lost to the 72
nd ranked Hartweck in straight sets of 6-0, 6-3. Pavesi battled Sohl and forced a 3
rd set, but came up short 6-2, 4-6, 9-11. Gomez lost at 3 singles in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. Willing lost to Nordblom 6-1, 6-4. Mateos Niela forced a 3
rd set against Feggi, but fell by the score of 6-4, 2-6, 11-13.
Ivan Mimica rounded out the Hawks lineup today and lost 6-0, 6-1 to Hikaru Nagoshi.
Women vs Minnesota State- Moorhead
The women came up on the short end today against the Dragons by the score of 4-3.
Juliana Vidal and
Steffi Lao won the lone doubles match for the Hawks 6-0. MSU-Moorhead took the other two doubles matches by the scores of 6-3 and 6-1.
In the singles matches,
Laila Leist-Alston won in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 over Emma Andersen. Also, Bianca Salas Cruz won her match in 3 sets by the score of 6-2, 3-6, 10-2.
Katrin Ismailova defeated her opponent in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.
Paula Martinez,
Nora Hennesy and
Emily Klinner all lost their singles matches in straight sets.
