Quincy, Ill. — The Men's and Women's tennis teams concluded their Florida trip today. The Men took on Post University and lost 5-2. The Women took on #8 Saint Leo University and lost 7-0.

MEN VS POST UNIVERSITY

In doubles action, Erik Weiler and Sabastian Gomez lost 6-4 to Cooper Smith and Anton Anderson. During the 2 doubles match, Samuele Constestabile and Pablo Mateos Niela fell to Nino Krneta and Gustavo Kerber by the score of 6-2. To round out doubles action, Daniel Sanchez fought hard but lost 7-5 to Samuel Rodriguez and Lars Dukart.

Erik Weiler kicked off singles action with a 3 set win over Nino Krneta by the score of 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, and 10-6. Brendan Everhart fell in straight sets 6-0, 6-1. Sebastian Gomez won in straight sets during the 3 singles match by the scores of 6-0, 6-4. Zach Willing, Nicholas Crockens and Ivan Mimica lost in straight sets to finish the match.

WOMEN VS SAINT LEO UNIVERSITY

In doubles action, Laila Leist-Alston and Blanca Salas Cruz lost 6-1. Steffi Lao and Juiliana Vidal lost 6-0 to Marta Vicens Miquel and Lavinia Lancellotti. In 3 doubles, Paula Martinez and Haley Milazzo fell 6-0 to Jade Bellegy Elan Mnatsakanov.

In singles action, Leist-Alston lost in straight sets by identical scores of 6-2, 6-2 to Alina Fedulova. Salas Cruz lost to Kamilya Shailina 6-1, 6-1. Steffi Lao in 3 singles lost 6-4, 6-2 to Isabella Ciancaglini. Juliana Vidal, Katrin Ismailova and Nora Hennesy lost in straight sets as well.
