Fulton, Mo.—The Hawks took on the Westminster College Blue Jays in a midweek doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon (3/16) and swept the Blue Jays 19-7 and 8-0.
GAME 1
Just two batters into the game,
Taylor Downen hit a 2-run home run that score
Jayle Jennings. Also in the inning,
Isabella Shields hit a sac fly to right filed that scored
Allyson Maynard.
Ashley Poore made it 4-0 Hawks on a single to score
Casey Brennan. The Blue Jays would get 2 runs back in the bottom half of the inning to make it 4-2.
In the top of the 2
nd, Maynard hit her 1
st of 2 home runs in the game that made it 6-2 Quincy. Maynard would add her 2
nd home run in as many innings with a 3-run shot to make it 12-2 Hawks.
As the game progressed,
Jayle Jennings hit the Hawks 3
rd home run of the game to make it 13-4 Hawks. The Hawks would add 5 more runs in the top of the 6
th. Jennings,

nd, Quincy added 2 more runs on a hit by pitch and another sac fly by Hermann.
Jayle Jennings would add an RBI on a productive out, then Downen added an RBI double to see the Hawks lead increase to 6-0. Quincy would add 2 more runs in the top of the 4
th to make it 8-0.
Eileen McGinnins got the start in the circle and went the distance. McGinnins struck out 5, only allowed one walk and 2 hits.
