Cordell Walker was named the Midwest Sprint Football League Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Calumet College of St. Joseph. Walker blocked a punt and returned it 27 yards for a touchdown. He also blocked an extra point, along with adding 14 tackles and 2.5 TFLs.
River Rivalry
The Hawks and Griffons have created a rivalry as they are the two closest teams to each other. The winning team receives the belt, which has been created for the series. Back in week 1, the Hawks defeated Fontbonne in St. Louis by the score of 7-0 to claim the River Rivalry belt.
Scouting the Hawks
Quincy enters this week with a 1-3 record after losing their 3rd straight game to Calumet College of St. Joseph by the score of 46-7. Their lone touchdown was scored on a blocked punt return in the 3

The Griffons enter the week with the same record as the Hawks at 1-3. They are coming off a week where they picked up their first win in program history over Midway University 27-19. FBU jumped out to a 21-6 lead and never looked back.
Chris Reckel leads their quarterback room with 25 of 37 for 352 yards and two touchdowns. The top receiver is Reshad Singleto who has 17 catches for 200 yards and one touchdown. Darrion White is their top rusher with 42 carries for 192 yards.
Avion Bass leads the defense with 45 tackles, while Isaiah Sanders has 11 TFLs for 42 yards and 4 sacks for 27 yards.
