QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy University women's volleyball ended their regular season with a win in straight sets, 25-15, 25-18, 25-14 over William Jewell College on Friday evening (Apr. 9). Three Hawk attackers,
Emily Rehagen,
Mattie Norris, and
Sarah Brown each had double-digit kills.
With the win, Quincy secured one of the top four seeds entering next weekend's GLVC conference tournament (Apr. 16-18). QU won six of their last eight contests, and head coach
Mark Jones has the program peeking at the right time. They'll compete in the conference tournament for the first time since the 2016 season.
Three Hawk attackers reached double digit kills in tonight's victory, paced by
Emily Rehagen with 11 kills.
Mattie Norris &
Sarah Brown also chipped in with 10 kills a piece. As a team, Quincy attacked at a .270 percentage while limiting the Cardinals to just a .065 kill percentage.
Sarah Blair and
Makayla Knoblauch finished with two service aces respectively, as Knoblauch dished out 27 assists.
Quincy had 12 different players see action in the win, as the Hawks took down the Cardinals of William Jewell College in straight sets.
