QUINCY, Ill. – The QU tennis teams picked up another win this week as they defeated Missouri Baptist at the Quincy Racquet Club on Wednesday afternoon. 

The men's team won 6-1 and the women's squad took down the Spartans 5-2. Laila Leist-Alston, Steffi Lao, and Nicole Lao all picked up wins in women's singles, and Erik Weiler, Brenden Everhart, and Samuele Contestabile defeated their opponents in men's singles. 

QU's women swept the doubles action after Leist-Alston and Nicole Lao won 6-0 along with a 6-1 victory for Steffi Lao, and Makaela Hampton.

Erik Weiler and Zach Willing won the number two men's doubles 6-3 coupled with a no contest win for Contestabile and Luca Cantale.

The Hawks will play next in a conference showdown with Missouri-St. Louis this weekend.
