Quincy, Ill. – The Quincy University women's volleyball team welcomed Truman State University to Pepsi Arena on Saturday afternoon (Apr. 3). The Hawks beat the Bulldogs in four sets 25-18, 25-16, 20-25, 25-21.
The first set started in favor of TSU, but the Hawks recovered fast and took back the lead when they scored six consecutive points to make it 20-15. QU kept their momentum going and won the set 25-18.
QU scored the first three points of the second set to continue their rally. After this, TSU was not able to minimize the margin as the Quincy attack continued to extend the difference and the Hawks twook set two, 25-16.
Truman tried to make a comeback after winning the third set with the final score in their favor, 25-20. Quincy did not let this affect them and kept the lead for the entire fourth set. QU went on a couple four-point rallies in the set which allowed them to keep the momentum going to win the set and the match, 25-21.
