Hawks Play #17 Indianapolis to a Scoreless Draw

INDIANAPOLIS, IN. – The Quincy women's soccer team went toe-to-toe with the 17th-ranked Indianapolis Greyhounds on Sunday afternoon (March 14). After two extra overtime periods, the contest ended in a scoreless draw.

The matchup was a hard-fought affair between two stingy defenses that held firm. In the first half, UIndy began as the aggressor with nine shots compared to the Hawks' three.

Quincy split duties in goal as Olivia Kindt got the start and held the Greyhounds scoreless through the first 45 minutes. Senior keeper Emilee Autry entered the contest in the second half and played both extra periods while posting three key saves, giving the Hawks an opportunity late.

The goalie duo combined for eight saves while shutting out #17 Indianapolis.

Offensively, Quincy finished with twenty-two total shots, four of them came on goal. Unable to find the back of the net, QU played tough enough on the defensive end to come away with a 0-0 tie after two overtimes.

Mary Maloney led the way in minutes with 109, and Sydney Gorman finished with 74.
