ST. CHARLES, MO. – The Quincy University men's lacrosse team took to the road and played their first game of the season against #14 Lindenwood University on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 6). The Hawks dropped the season opener by a final score of 14-3.
QU was outscored by the Lions in all four periods, but the Hawks had a first quarter goal from Jayme Brain which was assisted by Mason Marano to tie the score 1-1 early on.
Brain scored two goals in the game as he netted an unassisted goal in the second period. Marano also scored his first goal as a Hawk in the fourth period. Goalkeeper Sam Huff ended the game with 25 saves and Quincy committed 29 turnovers in the loss.
Quincy will be back in action next Saturday at home to take on Lewis University at 3:00 p.m.
