LEBANON, Ill. – Quincy University's men's volleyball team faced off with undefeated #14 McKendree University, their opponent yesterday, for the second match of the series with the Bearcats. The Hawks were unable to steal a set from their ranked opponents falling in straight sets, 22-25, 21,25, 25-16. 

1st Set 
The Hawks struck first in the opening set 2-0 from a Bearcat attacking error and a kill from Eddie Jakubauskas. McKendree fought back to tie things at 5-5 and later went on a four point run to open a 11-7 advantage. Three McKendree errors later drew things even at 14 apiece. QU took a 20-19 advantage late in the set off another McKendree attacking error, but the Bearcats fended off the Quincy comeback taking set one 25-22.

2nd Set
Quincy came out firing in the second set with a three-point mini run after two Bearcat attacking errors and an Eddie Jakubauskas kill for a 3-1 advantage. QU worked their way to a 9-6 lead after an ace from Cooper Coleman, but it was a battle after that with six ties and a change of the lead mid set that found the Hawks down 21-20. MCK went on to take the four of the next six points closing set two, 25-21.

3rd Set
McKendree dominated the final set of the contest that saw only one Hawk lead early in the set at 6-5. The Bearcats outhit QU by over .300 in a final set victory 25-16.
