Romeoville, Ill. - The Quincy University women's soccer team snapped their five-game losing streak with a shutout victory over Lewis on Sunday (Oct. 10).
Lauren Crane scored the lone goal while the Hawk defense limited the Flyers to just three shots on goal.
Quincy had eight total shots with one on goal through 72 minutes played. Right at the 72:11 mark,
Lauren Crane scored the first and only goal of the game on a penalty kick to give Quincy the lead. It was Crane's fifth goal of the season which puts her top-five in the league in goals scored this season.
Lewis' offense was locked down as the Hawks allowed the Flyers just three shots on goal. All three shots were stopped by QU's goalkeeper
Olivia Kindt. Quincy did not allow a shot on goal in the second half.
