QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University women's basketball team dropped a GLVC matchup to Missouri S&T on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 11). The Hawks were unable to get back within single digits in the second half, falling to the Miners 91-76.
How It Happened
The Hawks (5-8, 1-4 GLVC) fell behind early in Saturday's GLVC contest versus Missouri S&T and were never able to regain traction.Â
Freshman
Laney Lantz led the Hawks with a career-high 25 points, making seven of 12 field goal attempts.Â
Lantz also made ten foul shots, but the Hawks went 20-for-37 from the charity stripe on the afternoon.Â
The Hawks fell behind 21-11 in the first quarter, while shooting 0-5 from three-point range.Â
Quincy was more competitive in the second quarter, but still trailed 40-27 at half.Â
The Hawks outscored the Miners in the second half, but the early deficit was too steep to conquer.Â
Aleksandra Petrovic had 15 points and seven rebounds, while
Alexa Low added a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.Â
