ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Quincy University men's and women's tennis teams' both dropped GLVC matches to the University of Missouri-St. Louis Saturday afternoon (Apr. 6). The men fell to the Tritons 6-1 and women fell 7-0.

Men's

On the men's side, the Hawks were swept in doubles to fall behind 1-0.

Brenden Everhart and Erik Weiler both fell in No.1 and No.2 singles. Samuele Contestabile dropped his match 6-2, 7-5 at the No.3 spot.

Dane Mechali grinded out a point for QU at No.4 singles, winning in three sets 6-3, 2-6, 10-5. 

Patrick Anderson and Collin Adams were defeated in No.5 and No.6 singles, respectively.

Women's

The Tritons swept doubles action on the women's side to start the day.

In singles action, Rita Kanaeva and Makaela Hampton fell at the No.1 and No.2 spots. Nicole Lao lost a competitive match at No.3 singles 7-6, 6-3.

Marta Caballero Garcia was defeated in No.4 singles by a score of 6-2, 6-3.

Anna Konczak lost a close match at the No.5 spot 6-2, 7-5 and Abby Moore fell 6-0, 6-3.
