QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University men's volleyball team lost in three sets to Loyola-Chicago Saturday (Apr. 7). The Ramblers defeated the Hawks 25-17, 25-14, 25-20.
Play by Play:
The Hawks fell behind 9-3 in the first set to the Ramblers. Despite the early deficit, the Hawks trimmed the lead to 16-12. However, the lead was too much for the Hawks to overcome and QU dropped the opening set 25-17.
The Ramblers again grabbed an early lead over the Hawks, leading 12-5 over QU. Loyola took advantage of 10 attack errors by the Hawks in the second set, defeating QU 25-14 to take a two-set advantage.
Despite the Hawks best efforts, QU fell in the third set to the Ramblers 25-20. QU committed 10 attack errors in the third set.
