QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University men's volleyball team season ended with a loss to the top-ranked team in the MIVA, Ohio State, Saturday night (Apr. 14).  The Hawks lost in straight sets, 25-22, 25-18, 25-12.  
Play by Play:
The Buckeyes grabbed a 7-3 lead over the Hawks in the opening set.  QU trimmed the lead to 10-9 after a kill by 
Anthony Winter.  
Ohio State went on an 8-1 run to push the lead to 18-11 in the first set.  The lead was too much for the Hawks to overcome despite cutting the lead to 24-22 late in the opening set.  
After leading the Buckeyes 3-2 in the second set, the Buckeyes took a 9-5 lead over the Hawks.  The teams traded points until the score read 14-12 in favor of Ohio State.  A 3-0 run gave the Buckeyes a 17-12 lead late in the second set.  The five-point lead was enough for the Buckeyes to take a 2-0 set lead over the Hawks.  
The Buckeyes used the momentum of the first two sets to take the final set from the Hawks 25-12.
