QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University men's volleyball team fell to MIVA opponent McKendree University Tuesday night (Mar. 20). The Hawks lost in straight sets, 25-23, 25-22, 25-13.
Play by Play:
The Hawks held an 8-3 lead in the first set. Both teams continued to battle throughout the opening set and the Bearcats tied the set at 20-20. QU rallied for the next three points to take a 23-20 lead. The Bearcats took the final five points and won the opening set 25-23.
The Bearcats held a 20-15 lead in the second set before the Hawks cut into the lead. The Hawks brought the Bearcats lead to 23-22 and looked to tie the match at one set apiece. The Bearcats scored back to back points to win the second set.
The Hawks were unable to respond after dropping the first two sets and lost the third set 25-13.
