Ward singled up the middle to put the first run on the board. Ward would later come around to score on a wild pitch to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead.

With two outs in the fifth inning, Dominic Miles doubled down the first base line to advance Brynn Martinez to third. David Jacob singled up the middle to score Miles and Martinez giving QU a 4-0 lead.
