Hawks Fall to Lindenwood-Belleville 6-3

QUINCY, Ill. - The Quincy University men's tennis team fell to Lindenwood University-Belleville on Sunday (Sept. 20) in their first dual match of the fall season. LU-B downed QU 6-3. The Hawks won two singles matches and one doubles match.

Patrick Kuhle won the number one singles match for the Hawks (0-1) in three sets. The first set was 6-4 in favor of Kuhle. Rory Cunliffe took the second set 6-4. Kuhle came back with a 6-3 win in the decisive third set to take the match.

Michael Lesko lost the first set of the number two singles match against the Lynx (1-0) 2-6. Lesko battled through the second set to get a 6-4 win. He continued his success into the third set in a tight 7-5 win to take the match.

Ryan McMillan and Patrick Kuhle teamed up to win the number one doubles. Kuhle and McMillan topped the Lynx 8-3 claiming the third point for the Hawks.

The Lynx finished the match with a 6-3 win scoring four singles and two doubles.

The Hawks welcome Truman State University to Quincy, Ill. to play the Bulldogs on Tuesday (Sept. 22).
