Michael Sause joined the Quincy football staff as a graduate assistant in January, 2020, and he will be working with the offensive line.
Sause attended North Carolina Wesleyan College where he was a 4-year letterman for the football team (2014-2018). He played tight end under head coach Jeff Filkovski and also worked with the men's basketball team under coach John Thompson.
Sause graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College in April of 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Administration.
After graduation Sause moved to Rhode Island and coached at the high school level for a year at Portsmouth High School. While there, he was the running backs coach and head junior varsity coach.
In 2019, Sause was the offensive line coach and video coordinator at Division III Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island.
While at Salve Regina he coached three all-conference offensive linemen and helped the Seahawks average 422 yards of offense per game, including 215 yards rushing per game, and 32 points per game. As a group, the offensive line surrendered just six sacks all year, which was good enough for fourth in the nation among Division III and top-10 among all NCAA levels.
Sause is from Durham, North Carolina, and he is pursuing his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from QU.
