Mallory Gurin enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Quincy University women's lacrosse program in 2026-27.
Gurin begins her collegiate coaching career at Quincy following an extensive playing career that began in fifth grade and continued through her time at Concordia University Wisconsin. She originally played defense before transitioning to goalkeeper, a position she played throughout her collegiate career.
A native of Westfield, Indiana, Gurin earned three varsity letters in lacrosse at Westfield High School. She was named the junior varsity Most Valuable Player as a freshman and received the Love of the Game Award as a sophomore. Gurin recorded a career-high 18 saves in a game during her junior season.
Gurin continued her career at Concordia University Wisconsin, competing as a goalkeeper for the Falcons while also walking on to the university's field hockey program. In lacrosse, she was named to the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference All-Sportsmanship Team in 2019. She also excelled academically, earning NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad recognition in 2019, 2020 and 2021 and NACC Scholar-Athlete honors in 2021.
Gurin credits former Circle City Lacrosse coach Nick Estey with playing an important role in helping her reach the collegiate level, along with the Concordia Wisconsin lacrosse and field hockey coaching staffs for their impact on her development as both an athlete and person. She also honors the memory of former Westfield Lacrosse coach Gregg Nichols, who played an important role in her early development in the sport.
Gurin earned her Bachelor of Science in sport and entertainment business with a minor in hospitality and event management from Concordia Wisconsin in December 2021. She later moved to Ireland and completed postgraduate coursework in human resource management at University College Dublin from 2022-23. Prior to joining the Hawks, Gurin worked as an Inflight Training Administrator with Ryanair in Dublin from 2023-26.
Outside of lacrosse, Gurin enjoys traveling, reading, attending sporting events, going to the movies and trying new coffee shops. She is a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, FC Cincinnati, San Antonio Spurs and Pittsburgh Pirates.
