Jimmy Eggemeyer helped start both men’s and women’s wrestling at Quincy University in 2022, being named the director of the wrestling program the same year. The men’s wrestling program has had 2 NCAA D2 national qualifiers, 1 Region IV Champion, 8 Region IV place winners, 11 academic All-Americans, and 21 dual meet victories in its first 3 seasons under Eggemeyer.

Prior to Quincy University, Eggemeyer was the head assistant men’s and women’s wrestling coach at Lincoln College in Lincoln, IL. He helped lead the men’s team to an AMC conference championship and produced 8 NAIA national qualifiers with 2 NAIA women national qualifiers, and an undefeated dual season for the men’s team.

In 2021, he led the Lathrop High School boys to a runner-up finish at the ASAA State Championship and helped lead the girls wrestling team to a State Championship. He was name ASAA 2021 Coach of the Year. Program produced 5 state champions and a total of 18 place winners for both the girls and boys.

From 2013-2016 Eggemeyer was the head assistant wrestling coach at Southern Oregon University. While at SOU he helped coach 4 NAIA National Champions and 14 NAIA All-Americans. From 2018-2019 was the assistant wrestling coach at Chadron State College. 

College athletic career began at NCAA D1 University of Wyoming then transferred to Southern Oregon University following his redshirt year. At SOU Eggemeyer was a 4x letter winner and a 4x NAIA national qualifier at 149lbs. He was a 2x NAIA All-American with a runner-up finish in 2012 and a NAIA National Champion in 2013.

In high school, Eggemeyer won the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award as a senior in 2008 as well as a 2x high school All-American. He was a 3x state finalist, 2x state champion, and a 4x state place winner in Alaska.

Graduated from Southern Oregon University and Concordia University with a bachelor’s in physical education/health, and master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration.
