Jacob Acevedo enters his third season as head coach of the Quincy University men's lacrosse program in 2027.
Through his first two seasons, Acevedo has guided the Hawks to six victories while helping the program reach several milestones. During the 2025 season, Quincy earned its first-ever conference victory with an overtime win over William Jewell, marking a significant step forward for the young program.
Acevedo came to Quincy following three successful seasons at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He guided the Pioneers to a program-record six victories during the 2024 season while establishing himself as the winningest coach in school history. Under his leadership, Carroll broke 24 program records and continued to elevate the standard of the program.
Prior to his time at Carroll, Acevedo spent three seasons at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama. During his tenure, he progressed from assistant coach to associate head coach before taking over as head coach. While on staff, Huntingdon captured back-to-back CCS Conference Championships in 2018 and 2019 and compiled a 34-16 overall record, including a 16-3 mark during the 2018 campaign that culminated in an NCAA Tournament appearance.
Acevedo was a member of the inaugural men's lacrosse team at Elmhurst University in 2012, competing four seasons for the Blue Jays. He earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science and fitness management from Concordia University Chicago in May 2017.
