Carson Picheco enters his first season as defensive line coach at Quincy University in 2026.
Picheco comes to Quincy after serving as assistant defensive line coach at Lamar University during the 2025 season, helping the Cardinals reach the FCS National Playoffs. Prior to his time at Lamar, he spent two seasons as defensive line coach at Edinboro University from 2023-24 and served in the same role at Dickinson College in 2022.
Picheco began his coaching career at Slippery Rock University, where he worked as a head student intern and defensive quality control coach from 2019-21. During that time, Slippery Rock won the 2019 PSAC Championship, advanced to the 2019 NCAA Division II National Semifinals, captured the 2021 PSAC West title, and earned a 2021 NCAA Division II Playoff appearance.
A native of Erie, Pennsylvania, Picheco played defensive line at Slippery Rock from 2017-18 and was part of a program that reached the NCAA Division II Playoffs in 2018.
Picheco earned his bachelor’s degree in leadership from Slippery Rock in 2022 and completed his MBA from Lamar University in 2026.
Outside of football, Picheco enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing UNO. He is engaged to Isabella McShane.
