Ben Draeger enters his first season on the Quincy University baseball coaching staff in 2027 as a graduate assistant.
Draeger begins his coaching career after completing a five-year collegiate playing career that included two seasons at Lincoln Land Community College and three seasons at Quincy. The Morton, Illinois native pitched for the Hawks from 2024-26 after beginning his career at Lincoln Land in 2022 and 2023.
Across his collegiate career, Draeger appeared in 50 games and made 37 starts, throwing 189.2 innings. He compiled a 22-8 record with two saves and seven complete games while posting a 4.84 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP.
Draeger recorded 178 strikeouts against just 48 walks, finishing with a 3.71 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He averaged 8.45 strikeouts and 2.28 walks per nine innings.
Draeger earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Quincy University in 2025.
Outside of baseball, Draeger enjoys golfing, playing pickleball, and watching sports. He is a fan of the Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers, and Oklahoma City Thunder. Draeger is also an Eagle Scout.
