Biography
2022-23 (Junior): Sims made his debut in a QU uniform at the Maryville Open (11/5/22), but picked up his first victory as a Hawk at the Grand View Open (11/12/22) with a win by fall. Philip also became the first QU wrestler to appear in the national individual rankings, ranking #9 in the 149 division (2/17/23).
He went on to win the 149-pound division at the DII Region IV Tournament (2/26/22), winning four straight matches and becoming the first Hawk to reach the DII National Championship. On the national stage, Sims picked up two wins and came up just short of All-American status.
