Biography
2023-24 (Freshman): Schnurpel gained his first collegiate experience with the Hawks during the 2023-24 season, finishing with a 4-14 overall record and a .235 win percentage. All four of his victories came by fall, showing his ability to finish matches when given the opportunity.
Schnurpel made his collegiate debut at the Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Open (11/4/23), where he also picked up the first win of his career. He later earned his first collegiate podium finish at the Luther College Open (11/11/23), placing eighth.

Personal: Schnurpel is from Royal Center, Indiana, where he attended Pioneer Jr.-Sr. High School and competed for the Panthers. During his high school career, he earned HNAC Conference At-Large honors, was named the 2023 Team MVP, was a two-time conference finalist, a regional placer, and a semi-state qualifier.
Peyton is the son of Lacey and Justin Schnurpel and has two siblings, Mason and Tyler. Outside of athletics, he enjoys bowfishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. His favorite athlete is Peyton Manning, and he is a fan of the Tennessee Volunteers.
