Quincy University Hawks

2025-26 (Freshman): Nichols made an immediate impact in his first season with the Hawks, finishing with a 25-19 overall record and a .568 win percentage. He also became a regular part of the dual lineup, going 8-7 overall and 3-4 in conference matchups while posting a .533 dual win percentage and scoring 33 dual points for Quincy.

Nichols recorded five falls, six tech falls, five major decisions, and seven decision victories during his freshman campaign. He made his collegiate debut at the Luther Hill Open (11/1/25), where he went 4-1 and placed third in the Fresh/Soph 157 division.

Nichols continued to find success throughout the season, adding a fourth-place finish at the Service Salute Open (11/8/25) and a fifth-place finish at the Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Open. He closed the year with a strong postseason showing, placing sixth at NCAA Division II Regional #4 (3/1/26).

Personal: Nichols is from Middletown, Ohio, where he graduated from Edgewood High School and competed for the Cougars. During his high school career, Isaiah placed sixth at the state championships and was named his school’s Athlete of the Year.

Isaiah is the son of Jeff and Kelly Nichols and has two siblings, Lailah and Lainie. Outside of competition, he enjoys golfing. His favorite athletes are Mitchell Mesenbrink and Le’Veon Bell, and he is a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds.
