Biography
2025-26 (Freshman): Edwards made a strong debut season for the Hawks, finishing with a 13-11 overall record and a .542 win percentage. He saw limited dual action, going 0-2, while gaining valuable experience throughout tournament competition.
Edwards recorded three falls, one tech fall, and nine decision victories during his freshman campaign. He made his collegiate debut at the Luther Hill Open (11/1/25), where he went 4-1 and earned a runner-up finish in the Fresh/Soph 141 division behind three decision wins and one fall. Edwards added another podium finish at the Service Salute Open (11/8/25), placing sixth.

Personal: Edwards is from Murphysboro, Illinois, where he attended Murphysboro High School and competed for the Red Devils. A standout student-athlete, Bryce made the Honor Roll all four years and was a member of both Beta Club and the National Honor Society.
On the mat, Edwards established himself as one of the top wrestlers in the state. He was a four-time All-Conference and All-South selection, a three-time regional champion, a two-time sectional champion, and placed fourth at the state tournament. He also became Murphysboro High School’s all-time wins leader with 170 career victories. In addition to his individual success, Edwards helped lead his team to regional and sectional team titles and a top-eight finish at the IHSA Class 1A State Championship.
Edwards was also a multi-sport athlete, earning All-Conference honors in baseball and competing in football. Athletics run in his family, as his mother, Jocelynne, was a two-time NJCAA swimming champion and Missouri Valley Conference champion while attending Indian River and Southern Illinois University. His father, Ryan, played football at Southern Illinois University from 1997 to 2000.
Bryce is the son of Ryan and Jocelynne Edwards and has two brothers, Jeret and Colt. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and golfing. His favorite athlete is Khabib Nurmagomedov, and he is a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
