Biography
2025-26 (Sophomore): Mota-Pettis transferred to Quincy midseason and immediately made history for the Hawks, finishing with an 11-1 overall record and a .917 win percentage. Competing at 124 pounds, she went 4-1 in dual action, including a perfect 2-0 mark in conference duals, while scoring 18 dual points. Mota-Pettis recorded four falls, five tech falls, one decision victory, and five ranked wins, while climbing as high as No. 3 in the national rankings at 124 pounds.
Mota-Pettis opened her postseason run with a championship performance at NCAA Women’s Wrestling Regional #5 (2/20-21/26), going 3-0 with two falls and one tech fall to win the 124-pound title. With the victory, she became the second regional champion in Quincy women’s wrestling history.
She closed the season on top of the national stage, winning the 124-pound national championship at the inaugural NCAA Women’s Wrestling Championships (3/6-7/26). Mota-Pettis went 4-0 at the championship with three tech falls and one fall, defeating three nationally ranked opponents along the way to become the second individual national champion in Quincy Athletics history.
