Erica Slinde

Erica Slinde is serving her second season (2023-24) as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Quincy women's volleyball program. 

Under the direction of Slinde, along with head coach, Mark Jones, the Hawks soared to new heights in the 2022 season, compiling the best record in the programs Division II era at a 28-3 (.903) along with an 11-1 (.917) conference mark. QU earned the #1 overall seed in the Midwest Region along with hosting duties for the NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament and the programs first NCAA Tournament win after spending six weeks in the national rankings, peaking at #19 on the November 7th rankings. 

In addition to the teams success as a whole, Slinde helped lead the Hawks as individuals to five All-GLVC selections, GLVC Freshman of the Year in Alice Pavan, three D2CCA All-Region nominations, two AVCA  All-Region choices and two AVCA All-Americans in Mattison Norris and Makayla Knoblauch. 

Before joining the coaching staff, Slinde was a member of the Hawks volleyball team for two seasons (2020 & 2021) manning the setter position for the squad. She also received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Quincy University in 2022. Slinde is currently working toward her Masters Degree in Counciling. 

Prior to coming to Quincy, Slinde played two seasons (2018 & 2019) at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, NC. Appearing in 21 matches, she collected 21 kills, 257 assists, 110 digs and three service aces. 

Slinde hails from Inver Grove Heights, MN and is a graduate of Eastview High School. On the court for the Lightning, she served as a four-year varsity letterman as a setter.
