Brenna Ankrum enters her first season (2023-24) as a part of the QU women's volleyball coaching staff, serving as a Graduate Assistant Coach.
Ankrum was a member of the team for the historic 2022 season that saw the Hawks checking off many firsts in the programs history for the Division II era. Longest win-streak at 14 to open the season, most time spent in the national rankings at six weeks, the #1 overall seed in the region along with hosting duties for the NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament, most wins (28) and highest winning percentage (.903) along with the programs first NCAA Tournament win.
Prior to spending her fifth year as a Libero and Defensive Specialist with the Hawks, Ankrum played three seasons (2019-21) at Division I, Radford University of the Big South Conference in Radford, VA. During her time with the Highlanders, she accumulated 14 assists, seven service aces and 92 digs.
Before attending Radford University, Ankrum spent her freshman campaign (2018) playing for Division I, Norfolk State University of the Mid - Eastern Athletic Conference. During her season with the Spartans, she played in 19 matches, collecting 27 assists, five service aces and 105 digs.
Ankrum is a native of Blacksburg, VA and graduate of Blacksburg High School. She helped lead the Bruins to a state runner up finish in her junior year, and final four appearance her senior year along with an All-Region selection in 2017.
