Biography
Personal: Lauren Hegele is a native of Pleasant Plains, Illinois, and a graduate of Pleasant Plains High School. She is the daughter of Eric and Kelly Hegele and has two siblings, Alison and Madalyn. A strong student in the classroom, Hegele maintained an outstanding 4.20 GPA during her high school career.
On the track, Hegele competed at the state level indoors, placing sixth in the triple jump and seventh as part of the 4x200 relay at the indoor state meet. Her performances highlight both her individual skill and ability to contribute in team events.
Outside of athletics, Hegele enjoys hiking, playing pickleball, and knitting. She is a fan of Illinois football and basketball.
