2024-25 Women's Swimming Roster
Biography
Personal: Nancy Olson, from Pittsfield, Illinois, attended Pittsfield High School, where she was actively involved in Leos and Rotary volunteer groups while maintaining high honor roll status throughout high school. She discovered her passion for swimming after joining a winter swim club her freshman year, commuting 45 minutes to train. Her dedication paid off when she qualified for the state meet during her senior year. As the first from Pittsfield to commit to winter swimming, Nancy helped inspire younger students, leading to her high school working toward establishing a dedicated swim program.
She continued her swimming career at Iowa Central, where she contributed to four relay teams that still hold school records. Now commuting to Quincy University, Nancy earned the third-highest GPA among the women.
Outside of academics and swimming, she enjoys spending time with friends, being outdoors, working out, and cooking. Her favorite athlete is Dennis Rodman, and she is a devoted Chicago Bulls fan. Committed to giving back, she continues volunteering in her community and teaching swim lessons, hoping to expand her efforts in the fall and winter to encourage more kids to pursue swimming at QU.
Why QU?
I chose QU because it is close to home and it has a great teacher to student ratio. There is a great community of people who work for all the students that come through.
