Quincy University Hawks

Career (2022–25): Across her four-year collegiate career, two seasons at Southern University and two with the Hawks, Pye-Blacknard appeared in 87 matches and 308 sets, totaling 516 kills (1.68 per set), 64 service aces (0.21 per set), 1,000 digs (3.25 per set), and 48 total blocks. She finished her career with 608.5 points (1.98 per set). Offensively, Pye-Blacknard recorded 26 matches with double-digit kills, while defensively she posted 53 matches with double-digit digs. She also tallied 20 career double-doubles in kills and digs.

2025 (Senior): In her senior season, Pye-Blacknard transitioned back to her natural position as an outside hitter after serving as the Hawks’ libero the previous year. She appeared and started all 31 matches, playing 111 sets, and ranked second on the team with 379 kills (3.41 per set). She also contributed 23 service aces (0.23 per set), 358 digs (3.23 per set), and 31.0 total blocks (eight solo, 23 assisted; 0.28 per set), finishing with 421.5 points (3.80 per set), which also ranked second on the team. Pye-Blacknard recorded 23 matches with double-digit kills and notched a career-high 20 kills in her final collegiate match against Ferris State (12/4/25). She added 17 double-doubles in kills and digs and posted a season-high 23 digs against Missouri–St. Louis (10/4/25).

2024 (Junior): In her first season with the Hawks, Pye-Blacknard served as the team’s libero, appearing in all 31 matches. She totaled 53 assists, 20 service aces, and led the team with 455 digs (3.86 per set). She recorded 25 matches with double-digit digs, including a season-high 25 against Indianapolis (11/16/24).

2023 (Sophomore at Southern): In her second season with the Jaguars, Pye-Blacknard appeared in 23 matches with 19 starts, totaling 126 kills (1.68 per set), 11 assists, 21 service aces, 177 digs (2.36 per set), and 15 total blocks for 155.0 points (2.07 per set). She recorded four matches with double-digit kills, highlighted by a season-high 16 against Louisiana Monroe (9/15/23).

2022 (Freshman at Southern): In her first collegiate season, Pye-Blacknard appeared in 25 matches and 79 sets, recording 101 kills (1.28 per set), 12 assists, 15 service aces, 140 digs (1.77 per set), and 17 total blocks for 126.0 points (1.59 per set). She made her collegiate debut against Eastern Washington (8/26/22), finishing with four kills and three digs.

Personal: Janelle Pye-Blacknard is from Yorkville, Illinois, and is a graduate of Yorkville High School. She is the daughter of Amber and Jocar Pye-Blacknard and has three siblings, Jace, Joelle, and Joré. Pye-Blacknard began her collegiate career at Southern University, where she spent two seasons before transferring to Quincy University to continue her athletic and academic journey.
