Athleticism runs in Grace’s family. Her father, Steve, played football at Southeast Missouri State from 1993 to 1997 and served as a senior captain. Her uncle, Blake Ledbetter, played baseball at Southeast Missouri State and was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals. Her grandfather, Steve Ledbetter Sr., played football at the University of Memphis, and her cousin, Denny Kleinschrodt, wrestled at Mizzou and Lindenwood University.
Grace had an outstanding soccer career, being a four-year varsity starter, earning all-conference honors in 2017, second-team all-conference in 2019, and receiving awards such as Offensive MVP and the Hustle Award. She also played for the Lou Fusz Club Team, winning two State Cup Championships and reaching the regional semifinals twice while maintaining a #1 ranking for four consecutive years.
Beyond soccer, Grace enjoys CrossFit and creating art, particularly ceramics and charcoal drawings. She is a passionate St. Louis Blues hockey fan, with Vladimir Tarasenko as one of her favorite athletes. She also values giving back to her community, having volunteered with the Special Olympics and SPENSA, an organization that supports individuals with special needs in soccer.
Why QU?
I chose QU because it is close to home, so my family can come to my games easier. I also chose QU because I like how small the classes are.
