Biography

2022 (Senior): In her final season with the Hawks, Alaina played a total of 491 minutes across 13 games. She made two starts and took 12 shots, pinning four on net.

2021 (Junior): As a junior, Nasello played in 16 games, making ten starts, where she saw 930 minutes of game time. She scored one goal and dished out one assist. Her first collegiate assist came in a 5-2 victory over William Jewell (10/24/21), which was the same game she scored in.

2020 (Sophomore): In her first season with the Hawks, Alaina saw action in 13 games and made nine starts. She played 535 and scored one goal on eight shots. Her first career goal was the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over McKendree (3/7/21).

2019 (Freshman at Oakland University): Appeared in 13 games, where she logged 177 minutes and one shot on goal. She made her collegiate debut against Eastern Michigan (8/22/19).

Personal: Nasello is from Godfrey, IL, and is a nursing student at Quincy University. Nasello is the daughter of Robin and Greg and has one sibling, CJ Nasello (21). Her father, Greg Naslelo, played soccer at Oakland University, and her brother, CJ Nasello, played soccer at Lewis & Clark. Nasello graduated from Alton High School with a 3.4 GPA and was a member of the student council. Nasello played under the direction of Jeff Hayes and Gwen Sabo for the Redbirds for four years on the varsity squad as a midfielder and forward. Nasello won the Metro Cup Tournament, and her club squad was the ECNL Midwest Conference Champions for SLSG. Nasello was a Second Team All-Conference member in 2016, Academic All-Conference in 2017, and First Team All-Conference in 2019. She was also named to the All-Sectional Team in 2019 while scoring 11 goals her senior year. At the end of her senior year, Nasello was named the MVP of the Redbirds as well as Offensive Player of the Year.

Why QU? 

I chose QU because it is an amazing school with a great program for what I want to do when I get out of school, and has a really good soccer program.
