Biography
Background:
Haas is from Millstadt, IL and is a Chemistry Pre-Medical Sciences major at Quincy University. Haas is the daughter of Tim and Jennifer, and has one younger sister, Katey (17). Haas graduated from Belleville West with a 5.0 GPA (out of 4.0) and was named Valedictorian upon graduating in May 2019. Haas academic honors include: Illinois State Scholar, National Honors Society High Honors, Young Achievers Award, and the Belleville West C3 Classroom Award for Excellence in Citizenship, Character, and Commitment. Haas has completed a variety of community service: Sleep Out for the Homeless Bridges Program volunteer, Kiwanis Tree Lot Setup, Study Buddies Tutor, Caritas Family Solutions volunteer, Millstadt Senior Center volunteer, Belleville Art on the Square volunteer, Tour de Belleville volunteer, Operation Christmas Child, AP WE Service Program, and St. Louis Girls on the Run volunteer. Haas got the distinguished honor of the Key Club (500 hours of community service), and competed on the Math team and placed 8th as an individual and won first place on her Junior-Senior team in the state qualifiers. Haas played for the Maroon under the direction of Jason Mathenia and won regional and section championships at Belleville West in 2018. Haas also was on the varsity swim team for four seasons.Â

"I chose Quincy for the history of the women's soccer program, the importance of the Franciscan value of service, the close-knit community feeling on campus, and the SLU Pre-Medical Program, which allows me direct admit into St. Louis University Medical School after graduation at QU."
