Kyle Egan enters his fourth season as head coach of the Quincy University men's and women's bowling programs in 2026-27. The second head coach in program history, Egan has overseen the rapid rise of both programs, helping establish Quincy as one of the emerging bowling programs in the Midwest.
The 2025-26 season marked a historic year for the men's program as the Hawks turned in the most successful campaign in school history. Quincy captured its first tournament championship by winning the Mid-States Championship, defeating perennial national power Wichita State, Oklahoma Christian, and defending champion Newman in bracket play. The Hawks also earned the program's first-ever national ranking, climbing as high as No. 16 in the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association poll and No. 13 in the USBC points standings.
Under Egan's guidance, the Hawks recorded eight top-five finishes during the 2025-26 season, including a runner-up finish at the National Collegiate Team Match Games, one of the nation's premier Tier I events. Quincy concluded the year with a fifth-place finish at the USBC Sectionals, the best sectional finish in program history, while narrowly missing the program's first-ever berth to the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships. The Hawks also finished 35th nationally in average points per event, another program best.
The women's program also continued its upward trajectory during the 2025-26 campaign, recording two top-eight finishes at Tier I events while continuing to improve against some of the nation's top competition.
Egan's first three seasons have seen steady growth across both programs. During the 2024-25 campaign, the men's team posted five top-five finishes and placed in the top half of the field in 10 of 13 tournaments while improving its finish and overall score at the USBC Sectionals. The women's team also recorded a sixth-place finish at the GLVC Championships.
Before arriving at Quincy, Egan enjoyed a standout collegiate career at Wichita State University, where he was a five-year member of one of the nation's premier bowling programs. He helped the Shockers capture the 2021 Intercollegiate Team National Championship and won the 2022 PBA World Series of Bowling Collegiate Invitational individual title. While at Wichita State, Egan also interned with the bowling program, assisting the coaching staff with recruiting and budgeting.
Egan earned his bachelor's degree in sport management with a minor in esports management from Wichita State University.
