Quincy University Hawks

Ali Schwagmeyer-Belger enters her second season as head coach of the Quincy University women's basketball program in 2026-27.

In her first season leading her alma mater, Schwagmeyer-Belger guided the Hawks to a 15-13 overall record and a 12-8 mark in GLVC play. Quincy secured a berth in the GLVC Tournament as the No. 8 seed, marking a strong start to her tenure on the QU sideline.

A Quincy University alumna and former GLVC Player of the Year, Schwagmeyer-Belger returned to QU after serving as the head women's basketball coach at John Wood Community College during the 2024-25 season. Prior to her time at John Wood, she coached at the junior high and high school levels within the Camp Point Central girls basketball program and also gained collegiate coaching experience as an assistant coach at Hannibal-LaGrange University.

A native of Camp Point, Illinois, Schwagmeyer-Belger was one of the area's most accomplished prep players, graduating from Camp Point Central High School as the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,950 career points while earning All-State honors twice.

She began her collegiate career at Charleston Southern University before transferring to Quincy, where she became one of the top players in the GLVC. As a junior, Schwagmeyer-Belger was named GLVC Player of the Year after leading the conference in scoring at 17.8 points per game while also averaging 6.6 rebounds and totaling 121 assists and 45 steals.

She followed with another standout season as a senior, averaging 18.0 points and 7.9 rebounds per game while adding 86 assists and 56 steals. Schwagmeyer-Belger was a two-time First Team All-GLVC and First Team All-Midwest Region selection during her career with the Hawks.

Following her collegiate career, Schwagmeyer-Belger played professionally overseas in Germany, Spain, and Australia. She averaged double figures in scoring throughout her international career and earned all-star recognition during her time with Perth in Australia's top league.

Schwagmeyer-Belger also co-runs the 25 Eight Mentality AAU program alongside her husband, former Quincy University point guard Courtney Belger '12. The program focuses on skill development, competitive mentality, and developing basketball talent throughout the Quincy region.
