Quincy University Hawks

Diane Shoemaker enters her fifth season as head cheer coach and third season as head STUNT coach at Quincy University during the 2026-27 academic year.

Shoemaker has overseen the growth of Quincy Cheer while launching the Hawks' STUNT program from the ground up. Following the program's inaugural 2-14 campaign in 2024, Shoemaker guided the Hawks to significant improvement in their second season, finishing 6-13 overall and 1-6 in the program's first season competing in the GLVC. For her efforts, she was named the 2025 GLVC STUNT Coach of the Year, becoming the conference's inaugural recipient of the award.

Under Shoemaker's leadership, the Hawks have continued to establish themselves as a rising program while competing against some of the nation's top STUNT programs.

A graduate of University of Missouri, Shoemaker earned bachelor's degrees in convergence journalism and comparative religious studies before completing a master's degree in journalism. During her time at Missouri, she cheered for the Tigers for three years and also worked as a UCA instructor.
